About me
I’m an accredited Coach and Registered Dietitian, passionate about helping women in midlife flourish. I hold a Diploma in Coaching and Positive Psychology. I am accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) at Practitioner level and am a member of the Association for Coaching (AC).
I am a certified alcohol-free coach utilising principles of positive psychology and cognitive behaviour therapy in my practice.
I have been a Registered Dietitian and member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) for over 30 years. I have a PhD in childhood nutrition and have a track record of nearly 40 academic publications.
My 30-plus-year career spanned the UK National Health Service (NHS), academia and industry, where I held senior roles, always focused on positive health outcomes. My sixteen years in ‘big corporate’ were focused on bridging science and commercial strategy; I worked closely with marketing and regulatory and legal colleagues.
Midlife has been both challenging and liberating for me.
I’ve been through menopause and for me, the consequential brain fog and weight gain. I have cared for elderly parents both of whom have passed, made bold career choices, and re-evaluated my relationship with alcohol.
Each experience has deepened my empathy and shaped the coach I’ve become.
Undertaking my coaching diploma has been a deeply enriching experience and I have witnessed the power of coaching to provide clarity and a means to move forward.
I have (unexpectedly) moved back to Northern Ireland after 30 years and I am enjoying walks with my dog in the beautiful countryside and coastline, spending time with family and old friends.
I am excited about being able to support women during midlife either one to one or in the workplace. I bring a wealth of career and life experience to my coaching practice.
Every chapter of my career has reinforced my belief that growth and fulfilment are possible at any stage of life.
